San Diego is one of my favorite cities because of the many places there are to visit. There’s so much to do and everything is within reasonable distances. The last time I was there, my family and I visited the San Diego Zoo. I’ve visited different zoos in different cities and I can honestly tell you that this is the best one I’ve been to, so far. Now with kids visiting any place can be somewhat hectic, but here are my tips if you’re planning on visiting. SKYFARI: When you’re there make sure to take advantage of the aerial tram. It will not only serve as resting time on your feet but it will also give you a great view of the park and city.
KANGAROO BUS: Little ones will get tired from all the walking. The kangaroo bus will help them get distracted and help them get some rest. It will also save you time to get around different stops throughout the park. When I first saw the bus, I thought it was at an additional charge, but the bus is actually included with any general admission ticket.
SNACKS: If you bring your little ones, you must bring snacks as they will get hungry and food can be pricey especially if you have a large family.
SHOES: The park has steep parts and you will need good walking shoes.
PLAY YARDS: There are three play yards around the park where your little ones can play. Each yard has a different theme. There is Elephant Play Yard, Discovery Playground, Polar Play Area and Koala Klimber.
SHOWS: There are
I think that Nathaniel’s favorite animal encounter was the grizzly bear one. The moment he saw the bear, he was jumping in excitement. It was such a great experience not just for Nathaniel, but for me as well. The park is huge! Over 100-acres and home to more than 3,500 rare and endangered animals.
