Nails care is more than just a weekly manicure and pretty nail polish. Nail care starts with  part of the body that we often don’t see as important as others. I know I am guilty of thinking that way. Often times, we just see nails as that, nails and in return, we neglect them, but it shouldn’t be that way. For that reason, I want to share with you a few tips on how I care of my nails. #SallyStrong
Eat a Balanced Diet: Everything starts within and eating healthy is the key to everything including beautiful strong nails. Food high in calcium will help to avoid discoloration and chipping.
Vitamins: In case you are like me and you don’t always eat healthy, vitamins are essential.
Wear Gloves: Cleaning products can sometimes be harsh on nails and hands, so I try to always wear gloves when doing chores around the house because it helps to prevent damage to my nails.

Stay Away from Acrylics: As much as I love acrylic nails, I try to stay away from them. The chemicals that are used on the nails are not the healthiest for nails and can damage them. Every time I’ve had acrylics on, after removing them, my nails not only look brittle and dry but they break easily.
Aside from making sure I take care of nails’ health, I also enjoy a mani. So whenever I don’t have time to go to the nail salon, I enjoy taking care of my nails at home. I usually do this at during Nathaniel’s noon nap once. I like to start off by brushing on my cuticles the Sally Hansen Vitamin E Nail & Cuticle Oil. I let the oil sit on my cuticles to soften them while I cut and file my nails.

Then, I massage the oil into my nails. If I have any cuticles that need to be removed, I take care of those then. I then rinse my hands, dry them and apply the Sally Hansen Complete Care 7-in-1 Nail TreatmentSally Hansen Complete Care 7-in-1 Nail Treatment
After this, if I have time for nail polish, I add that. Finally as a top coat, I use the Sally Hansen Complete Care 7-in 1 Nail Treatment as well. I love that it helps my polish stay shiny for up to 10 days. In case you’re wondering where I purchase these products, I got mine from CVS in the nail section.
How do you take care of your nails? Do you have any favorite Sally Hansen products? These two products are necessary for my nails to look strong, bright and moisturized. Even if I don’t give myself a manicure each week, I use the Sally Hansen Vitamin E Nail & Cuticle Oil at nights to help with nail growth. Do you have any tips for nails? I would love to hear what those are.

I have brittle nails so I'm definitely going to have to try the 7-in-1 Nail Treatment! I'm already a fan of the gel manicure line they carry! -client
